The Paris Bandwagon

Paris HiltonYes, I am going to get on the Paris Hilton bandwagon in regards to the pathetic course of justice being enacted at the moment.

Paris my dear, you have just firmly cemented your already proclaimed ditsy heiress image. I wonder if the family name can have much more mud slung at it. Mum & Dad surely must be getting a bit pissed off at it by now? Or are they one of the many ’statutory’ parents in the world, when its “my child is an angel”.

Intentionally driving drunk is akin to walking down the street shooting into the air. While your shooting into the air no one is getting killed, but oops, tripped over, now you have shot a couple of people walking innocently down the street. But she got remprimanded & punished for it, so another chance is deserved. However, she thought she was above the law, so therefore, like others who think they are above the law.. she got punished more severely.

Lady … you do the crime, you do the time!

How many times is this going to be used in precedent now?

My friends…. MONEY TALKS. Never let anyone convince you otherwise.

Do we think maybe this whole “Paris Hilton Thing” is getting a little out of hand? I don’t think I’ve picked up a magazine for the past year that hasnt had her antics sprawled across the front page, and now with the dramas surrounding her clash with the law it’s all just getting a bit much considering she is famous for absolutely no reason. Upon googling Paris in Jail I found the number one link was ‘Iam4Paris’ which is a webpage devoted to selling “Free Paris” wristbands. Their slogan being:

Together, we can make a difference by raising awareness of how Paris has been unfairly singled out by the media and legal system.

Seriously? What’s unfair is her release after her whinging that she had a rash…after 3 DAYS! What would be better punishment is to put her in the life of the average woman her age, without the credit cards and social life and maybe lump a few kids on her. That would really be the simple life, yet if they made a Television show about it people would still watch because its Paris Hilton.

WHY? What is this obsession with her? a spoilt rich kid with far too much time on her hands who is putting none of it to good use. I’m sure with the money she spends on iced mocha frappacinos we could save the rainforests in brazil or prevent the extinction of giant pandas. If she put as much effort into making people aware of global warming as she put into socialising then there would be no hole in the ozone layer. What I’m trying to say is do we really need to be focusing such attention on Paris Hilton? I’m CERTAIN there are more important things we could be thinking about…

    Peace out!

I agree with Nikki and Cindy the way that this entire Paris Hilton thing has spiraled out of control is a little disgusting. Celebrities should not be put above the law just because they are in the public eye and have money, unfortunately it does and will continue to happen.

She said that she was afraid for her life and complained about a rash after only 3 days of being inside. So what, women with less money and no book deal to live on once they’ve gotten out have all these things and more to fear when they go to jail.

Once Paris is out she will have even more money because of the book she is writting while inside. America should have the same laws as Australia. Criminals should not be allowed to profit from there crimes.
